IT@ SILENCE ’08 – THREE-DAY WORKSHOP

AKAD’s 3 days IT practice workshop organized at HSS for the Deaf, Neerpara, Thalayolaparambu in Kottayam district from 8 May to 11 May 2008. 45 selected participants from various districts of Karala were participated in the camp. They were trained on the field of MS word, MS excel, Internet utilization, Email service etc. Participants gave there fed back that it was very useful for the job owners as well as jobless. This camp was inaugurated by Fr. Abraham Poochakatu and presided over by Sri. K.K.Peethambaran. Sri Monse Joseph, Hon’ble Minister for Public Works inaugurated the valedictory function held in the afternoon of 11.05.2008 and presided over by Sri. Santhoshkumar.S, president AKAD. Sri.K.Ajith MLA, vaikom constituency gives away the prizes to the participants. Hindustan Newsprint Limited, Velloor invited camp delegates for a visit to their establishment. All delegates visited the factory. They satisfied with their visit stating “it encourages us for further improvement “.
