Badhirolsavam-08 was organized by Ernakulam District Association of the Deaf at Town Hall, Ernakulam on 15 and 16 November 2008 to commemorate 51st International Deaf day. Around 300 talented participants took part in pencil drawing, painting, single dance, group dance, thrivathira, and oppana competitions. Assisi School for the Deaf, Muvattupuzha bagged the overall championship trophy. HSS for the Deaf, Neerpara and Royal School for the Hearing Impaired, Kothamangalam received the Second and third position respectively. Sri.M.A. Baby, honorable minister for education inaugurated the public meeting. Sri. Nizar Ibrahim, General convener presided over the function. Dr.M.Beena IAS, District Collector gives away the prizes to the winners. Sri. K.K.Peethambaran hoisted the flag. Sri. Nizar Moideen, Sri.Geevarhese, and Sri.
